How does LOXX® work?

LOXX® closes and locks automatically. The perfectly designed stainless steel spring (similar to a tow-bar) fits snugly around the standardized ball head of the lower part. The smart mechanism will not open unless the cap of the upper part is lifted and the ball head is released.

LOXX® is reliable in its use, it is manufactured sustainably and surprises time and again with its innovative design.

The LOXX® upper part with big head.

The LOXX® upper part with the big head was developed during the 1950s.The cap is bigger, which comes in handy, especially when your hands are cold or wet, or you when you have to wear gloves. The finishes brass nickel plated, brass chrome plated and stainless steel hybrid are the standard versions for the most common applications in the industry. You need a dark upper part? LOXX® HD - the reinvention of the original!

The new LOXX® upper part Heavy Duty is the best of its kind. You won’t be able to tell the difference from the outside, but we reinvented the new Heavy Duty upper part on the inside. This ultimate upper part is a guarantee for even more endurance and better handling due to its ingenious improvement.

The Heavy Duty upper part is a protected development (utility model 20 2015 104 203), and a patent application has also been filed. It would be a pleasure to tell you more about our new LOXX® Heavy Duty and its special features. You will be thrilled! By the way: you can have the Heavy Duty in all the different surfaces and designs, of course!

The LOXX® XL

Use LOXX® XL if you want to connect multiple fabrics with each other. This fastener has a clamping area of up to 6 mm and thus can also be used for thicker materials. The LOXX® XL is available in 5 colors.

All the upper parts are normally delivered with the LOXX® standard washer. The original LOXX® long washer has been developed by Schaeffertec in 2009 in order to have a higher clamping area (+ 1 mm). As a standard, all upper parts and all big lower parts for fabric are available either with the standard washer, or with the long washer (for more information see LOXX® a modular fastener). The long washer can also be ordered separately. This is a development and a service of Schaeffertec!

We have a variety of metric screws in stock. Length, thread and surface can vary. As a standard we do have the original LOXX® metric screws in 3 different sizes: M4, M5 and M6. The different sizes and materials of our screws make our product range unbeatable. Due to our German production we are very flexible and can offer you special productions starting at a minimum purchasing quantity of 500 pcs. This is our special service for you!

LOXX® Self-cutting screws.

The so-called sheet metal screw is available in many different sizes and finishes. What makes the original LOXX® screws so special is that they are made of three parts. The thread is made of stainless steel. The perfect ball pin and the distinctive hexagonal can be made of brass or stainless steel – according to our customer’s preferences. Do you need a particularly long screw? We have a brand new 26 mm long self-tapping screw in our program. This screw is available in stainless steel, nickel plated brass and chrome plated brass.

The LOXX® pipe clamps are perfect for drill-free mounting. You can install them supplementary by putting the stainless steel loop around the pipe / rod / hose. Then you put the end of the pipe clamps with the 7 mm hole over the end with the thread and use the provided M6-LOXX® screw and a hexagonal screwdriver to link the two ends together. Put the pipe clamp into the right position and screw in the M6 screw tightly. By untightening the screw, the pipe clamp can be removed anytime. This LOXX® pipe clamp is made of 100 % stainless steel. We have 22, 25 and 30 mm pipe clamps in stock.

loxx® unterteil zum einkleben abmessungen

The pin of this lower part has a diameter of 4.5 mm, a length of 5 mm, and two grooves. It can be glued in easily and permanently with a suitable adhesive.

Because of the grooves in the pen the glue is distributed evenly and the lower part gets a very good hold.
As a standard, the LOXX® lower part for gluing in is available in nickel plated brass. Other versions are available on request.

The small lower part for welding

The small lower part for welding has a diameter of 10 mm, is 7 mm high and is made of weldable stainless steel.

The big LOXX® lower part. Both, the big LOXX® lower part, as well as the LOXX® upper part are mounted with the same toothless washer. The benefits are:
1) Since the holes needed to fix the two LOXX® parts to the fabric have the same diameter only one tool is needed to make them.
2) There is also only one tool needed to fix the washer onto the upper and lower part.
3) You can use either the standard washer or the long washer to change the clamping area.
Please note: The original LOXX® lower part for fabric has the brand "LOXX" embossed on the bottom side, and “Made in Germany” on the washer. And: Only the original is made by Schaeffertec. Take of the washer and you will find "Schaeffertec" embossed on the inside of the lower part. Make sure that you bought the original!

The small lower part for screwing.

An ingenious novelty!

No spindle or hand press is required for this small lower part. The new small lower part is screwed together. The necessary screws (available in two lengths) and the washers (Ø 8 mm) are made of stainless steel and are included in the scope of supply.

Two clamping ranges allow the installation on very thin or very thick materials:

Screw M 2.5 x 6 mm = clamping range 0 - 4 mm.
Screw M 2.5 x 8 mm = clamping range 2 - 6 mm.

The following tools could be helpful for the installation:

Revolving punch pliers (e.g. from Prym) - hole size 2 mm
Micro screwdriver with slot in 0.5 mm (e.g. from WERA)

The small lower part for screwing is currently available in 5 surfaces: Natural brass and brass plated in nickel, vintage brass, vintage copper and black nickel.
