The LOXX® upper part with big handle cap

The upper with big handle cap was especially developed for naval use in the 1950s. The cap is larger and therefore provides a better grip, especially if you have cold or wet hands due to weather conditions, or have to wear gloves. The brass nickel plated, brass chrome plated or stainless steel hybrid models are the standard versions for the typical marine application.

The LOXX® Heavy Duty upper part is the best of its kind. Externally indistinguishable, the Heavy Duty upper part was reinvented on the inside.This improvement gives you an upper part that guarantees greater durability and better operation.

The HD version is a protected development (utility model 20 2015 104 203) and is available in every design and surface we offer. Only from Schaeffertec.

The self-tapping LOXX® screws

The so-called sheet metal screws are available in many lengths and finishes. The special characteristic of the LOXX® screws is that they are made of three parts. The thread is always made of salt-water resistant stainless steel. The ball head and hexagon can be made of brass or stainless steel, depending on customer requirements.

The typical hexagonal screws, which are often used in marine applications, are available in lengths of 10, 12 or 16 mm and are nickel-plated, chrome-plated or completely made of stainless steel.

Our small plastic dowel is an excellent aid for attaching LOXX® screws to channel rails. This can be used with a self-tapping screw in the length 10 mm or 12 mm.

Simply press the dowel into the channel rail, bring it into position and tighten the screw as far as it will go. Done!

The small dowel is a further development of Schaeffertec.

We offer a wide variety of metric screws. Length, thread and surface can vary. As standard, we offer our metric LOXX® screws with M4, M5 or M6 threads.  We offer these in nickel plated brass, chrome plated, black chrome plated or completely made of stainless steel.

The LOXX® TBR Platte = Turn Button Replacement

You have bulky turn buttons on your boat and would like to replace them with the smart LOXX® fastening system? Great! You will need our TBR plate and the upper parts with long washers (clamping range 4mm). Now replace the old turn button with the TBR plate. The hole spacing is 22.3mm (0.88"). Next, screw the upper part into the eyelet of the old turn button. And you are ready to go!

In just a few minutes, you have replaced the bulky turn buttons with the smart LOXX® locking system.

The small plate is a favorite in the marine industry. It is 27 mm (1.06") long, is usually screwed but can also be easily riveted. The hole spacing is 15.1 mm (0.59").

This small plate is made of brass, and in the marine industry it is mainly used in nickel or chrome plated. It is especially popular where a slightly flatter ball head is desired.

If you have turn buttons on your boat that you would like to replace with the LOXX® system, please use the TBR Plate, as it has the  respective hole distance. 

This lower part is the matching counterpart for fabric-to-fabric connections. This fabric screw, developed by Schaeffertec in 2012, is screwed tight with the same washer as all upper parts.

The advantages are: 

• Only one tool to punch the holes.
• Only one tool to attach the washers.
• To vary the clamping range either with standard or long washer.

All big lower parts for fabric are usually supplied with the standard washer. However, they can also be supplied with a long washer (The LOXX® modular system). The washers can also be ordered separately. A service from Schaeffertec.

The long washer is currently available in 9 surfaces: Nickel, matt nickel free silver, chrome, black chrome, vintage brass, vintage copper, gold and stainless steel.

An ingenious novelty! 

No spindle or hand press is required for this small lower part. The new small lower part is screwed together. The necessary screws (available in two lengths) and the washers (Ø 8 mm) are made of stainless steel and are included in the scope of supply.

Two clamping ranges allow the installation on very thin or very thick materials:

• Screw M 2.5 x 6 mm = clamping range 0 - 4 mm. 
• Screw M 2.5 x 8 mm = clamping range 2 - 6 mm.

The following tools could be helpful for the installation:

• Revolving punch pliers (e.g. from Prym) - hole size 2 mm 
• Micro screwdriver with slot in 0.5 mm (e.g. from WERA)

The small lower part for screwing is currently available in 5 surfaces: Natural brass and brass plated in nickel, vintage brass, vintage copper and black nickel.

These windshield clips are ideal not only for American boats. They can be clicked onto the windshield rail with a single motion and are designed in a way that prevents them from coming loose. Once attached, they can still be pushed back and forth on the rail until the appropriate place is found.

With the Windshield Clip, you no longer have to drill if you have a rail. As standard the Windshield clips come in two sizes: 21 mm (0.83") and 24 mm (0.94").

The round plate for screwing (Ø 24 mm) is made entirely of saltwater resistant stainless steel. It is therefore ideal for such places that are particularly exposed to the sun and at the same time are repeatedly washed over with seawater. The material thickness of 1,8 mm makes the round plate particularly stable.

In addition to the already mentioned advantages, the round plate is very suitable to be glued because of the large surface (Ø 24mm). For this purpose, it can also be purchased specifically without drill holes. The round plate is a further development of Schaeffertec. Our catalogs...

The pipe clamps are ideally suited for places where drilling is not possible or not intended. They can be attached subsequently without any problems. We offer them as standard in 22, 25 and 30 mm. The M6 x 8 mm screws for closing the pipe clamps are included in the delivery. The pipe clamps and also the corresponding screws are made of 100% stainless steel. The small bottom part for welding has a diameter of 10 mm, and a height of 7 mm. It is made of a weldable stainless steel.

The pin of this base has a diameter of 4.5 mm, a length of 5 mm, and two grooves. It can be easily and permanently glued in place with suitable adhesive. The grooves in the pin distribute the adhesive and give the lower part a particularly good hold.
