We take the protection of your personal data very seriously and adhere to the rules of data protection laws. On this website, personal data is only collected to the extent that is technically necessary and to optimize the online services. Under no circumstances will the collected data be sold or passed on to third parties for other reasons.

The following declaration gives you an overview of how we guarantee this protection and what kind of data is collected for what purpose. In doing so, we always try to observe the principles of data avoidance and data minimization.

2. Definition of terms

We have formulated our general data protection declaration according to the principles of clarity and transparency. However, should there be any ambiguity regarding the use of different terms, the corresponding definitions can be found at https://gdpr-info.eu/art-4-gdpr/.

3. Legal basis for the processing of personal data

We only process your personal data such as your name, first name, e-mail address, IP address etc. if there is a legal basis for it. According to the general data protection declaration, three regulations in particular come into consideration here:
a) You have given us your consent to process your personal data for one or more purposes, Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR. In this context, we will inform you in detail about the purpose(s) of the processing and document your express consent.
b) The processing of your personal data is necessary for the performance of a contract or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures with you, Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b GDPR.
c) The processing of personal data is necessary for the protection of our legitimate interests, unless your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms prevail, art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter f GDPR.
However, at the relevant points we will remind you of the legal basis on which your personal data is processed.

4. Disclosure of personal data

Your personal data will not be disclosed to third parties for purposes other than those listed below. We will only pass on your personal data to third parties if:
a) you have given your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. a GDPR,
b) the disclosure pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR is necessary for the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims and there is no reason to assume that you have an overriding interest worthy of protection in not disclosing your data,
c) if there is a legal obligation to pass on the data pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. c GDPR, and
d) this is permitted by law and required for the processing of contractual relationships with you in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. B GDPR.

5. Storage duration and deletion

We store all personal data that you send us only for as long as it is needed to fulfil the purposes for which the data was sent or if this is required by law. Upon fulfilment of the purpose and/or expiry of the statutory storage periods, the data will be deleted or barred by us.

6. Secure socket layer encryption

The website of Schaeffertec GmbH uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as the requests you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by address line of the browser which changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line.
If SSL encryption is activated, the data you send to us cannot be read by third parties.

7. Collection and storage of personal data and the nature and purpose of their use

a) When visiting the website 
By visiting our website, information is automatically sent to the server of our website by the browser used on your end device. This information is temporarily stored in a so-called log file. The following information is recorded without your intervention and stored until it is automatically deleted:
• IP address of the requesting computer,
• Date and time of access,
• Name and URL of the retrieved file,
• Website from which the access takes place (referrer URL),
• the browser used and, if applicable, the operating system of your computer and the name of your access provider.
We process the above-mentioned data for the following purposes:
Evaluation of the system security and system stability as well as data that allow an inference to your person, such as the IP address, will be deleted after 7 days at the latest. Should we store the data beyond this period, these data will be anonymized, and an assignment to you is no longer possible.
The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. F GDPR. Our legitimate interest results from the purposes of data collection listed above. Under no circumstances do we use the collected data for the purpose of drawing conclusions about your person. We also use cookies and analysis services when you visit our website. You will find more detailed explanations on this in sections 9 and 10 of this data protection declaration.
b) Contact form / e-mail contact
We provide you with a contact form on our website that you can use to contact us at any time. To use the contact form, it is necessary to enter a name for a personal form of address and a valid e-mail address, for us to know from whom the enquiry originates and to be able to process it.
If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details provided in the contact form, including the contact data you provide there, as well as your IP address, will be processed in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 letters b and f GDPR for the purpose of implementing pre-contractual measures taken in response to your enquiry or for the purpose of protecting our legitimate interest, namely for the purpose of carrying out our business activities.
You are also welcome to send us an e-mail using the e-mail address provided on our website. In this case, we will store and process your e-mail address and the information provided by you in the e-mail in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b and f GDPR to process your message.
The inquiries as well as the associated data will be deleted 3 months after receipt at the latest, unless they are needed for a further contractual relationship.
c) Google Fonts
We use Google Fonts on our Internet pages. This enables us to display fonts. Google Fonts is a service of Google Inc. ("Google"). The integration of these Web Fonts is done by a server call, usually a Google server in the USA. Through this, the following may be transmitted to the server and stored by Google:
• Name of the used browser
• Version of the browser
• Website from which the request was initiated
• Operating system of the user
• Screen resolution of the user
• IP address of the user
• Language settings of the browser or the operating system that the user is using

The use of Google fonts makes it easier for you to read our website and makes it graphically more pleasant and is therefore based on our legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
d) Use of Google Maps
Our website uses the Google Maps API. By using Google Maps, information about your use of this website (including your IP address) can be transmitted to a Google server (Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, California, 94043) in the USA and stored there.
Google may transfer the information obtained through Maps to third parties if this is legally required or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Your IP address will under no circumstances be associated with other Google data. Nevertheless, we must point out that it would be technically possible for Google to identify individual users based on the received data.
We also have no influence on whether your personal data and personality profiles are processed for other purposes by Google. If you want to avoid this under any circumstances, you can deactivate the Google Maps service and thus prevent the data transfer to Google. To do so, you only need to deactivate JavaScript in your browser. In this case, no data will be transferred, but you will no longer be able to use the map display on our website.

The use of Google Maps is a service for you, enabling you to locate our site precisely and, if necessary, to better organize your visit. The use of Google Maps is therefore based on our legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

8. Redirection (links) to internet presences of business partners

If the person in question uses the links on our website to access the websites of business partners, the use of these websites is exclusively covered by the privacy policy of the respective website owner.
Schaeffertec GmbH assumes no responsibility for the data processing and possible storage of personal data of the respective internet presences of business partners.
In order to avoid abuse, the IP address of the user as well as the date and time of registration are stored. This serves to prevent the abuse of the services. The data will not be disclosed to third parties. An exception is made if there is a legal obligation to disclose the data.

10.) YouTube videos

We have embedded YouTube videos on our website which are stored on https://www.youtube.com and can be played directly from our website. These are all integrated in "extended data protection mode", which means that no data about you as a user is transferred to YouTube if you do not play the videos. Only when you play the videos will the data mentioned in paragraph a be transferred. We have no influence on this data transfer.
a.) By visiting of the website, YouTube will receive the information that you have accessed the appropriate subpage of our website. This occurs regardless of whether you have an account with YouTube that you are logged in with, or no account at all. If you are logged in at Google, your data will be assigned directly to your account. If you do not want your profile to be visible to YouTube, you must log out before activating the button. YouTube stores your data as user profiles and uses them for advertising, market research and/or demand-oriented design of its website. Such evaluation is carried out in particular (even for users who are not logged in) for the purpose of providing needs-based advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have a right of objection to the creation of these user profiles; in which case you must contact YouTube to exercise this right. In addition, the data below will be transmitted:
• IP address, date and time of the request
• Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
• Content of the request (specific page)
• Access status/HTTP status code
• Amount of data transmitted in each case
• Website from which the request comes and browser
• Operating system and its interface
• Language and version of the browser software.
b.) For further information on the purpose and extent of data collection and its processing by YouTube, please see the privacy policy. You will also find further information on your rights and settings to protect your privacy there: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy. Google also processes your personal data in the USA and has complied with the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.

11.) Analysis and tracking tools

The website of Schaeffertec GmbH uses analysis and tracking tools. These serve to ensure the continuous optimization of our website and to adjust it to your needs. In addition, these measures are also used to record the use of our website statistically in order to evaluate this for the purpose of optimizing our services for you.
These interests are to be regarded as justified in the sense of Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. f GDPR. The respective data processing purposes and data categories can be taken from the corresponding tools.
a.) Google Analytics
On our website we use Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (https://www.google.de/intl/de/about/) (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; hereinafter "Google").
Google Analytics uses cookies in this context. The information about your use of this website generated by the cookie such as
• Browser type/version,
• the operating system used,
• Referrer URL (the previously visited page),
• Host name of the accessing computer (IP address),
• Time of the server request
are usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
However, given that we have activated IP anonymization on this website, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.
On our behalf, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to generate reports on the website activities and to provide us with further services related to the use of the website and the Internet. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.

12.) Rights of the person concernedYou are entitled to the following rights:

a.) Information
According to art. 15 GDPR you have the right to request information about your personal data processed by us. This right of access includes information about the purposes of the processing, the types of personal data, the recipients or categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, the planned storage period or as a minimum the criteria for determining the storage period, the existence of a right of correction, deletion, restriction of processing or opposition, the existence of a right of appeal to a supervisory body, the origin of your personal data if it has not been collected by us, and the existence of an automated decision making process including profiling and, if need be, requesting relevant information about its details.
b.) Correction
In accordance with Art. 16 GDPR, you have the right to correct incorrect or incomplete data stored with us without delay.
c.) Deletion
You have the right to demand the immediate deletion of your personal data unless further processing is necessary for one of the following reasons:
to exercise the right to freedom of speech and information;
to comply with a legal obligation requiring processing under union or national law to which the person in charge is subject to, or to fulfil a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the person in charge;
for reasons of public interest in the field of public health pursuant to Art. 9 para. 2 lit. h and i as well as Art. 9 para. 3 GDPR;
for archiving, scientific or historical research purposes in the public interest or for statistical purposes in accordance with Art. 89 para. 1 GDPR, to the extent that the law referred to in section a) is likely to render impossible or seriously hinder the attainment of the objectives of such processing, or for the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims.
d.) Restriction of processing
In accordance with Art. 18 GDPR, you can request the restriction of the processing of your personal data for one of the following reasons.
You disagree with the accuracy of your personal data.
The processing is unlawful and you object to the deletion of your personal data.
We no longer need the personal data for the purposes of the processing, but you need them for the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims.
You object to the processing pursuant to Art. 21 paragraph 1 GDPR.
e.) Notification
If you have requested the rectification or deletion of your personal data or a restriction on processing under Articles 16, 17(1) and 18, we shall notify all recipients to whom your personal data has been disclosed, unless this proves impossible or involves a disproportionate effort. You may require us to notify those recipients.
f) Transmission
You have the right to receive the personal data you have provided us with in a structured, accessible and machine-readable file.
You also have the right to obtain the transmission of such data to a third party, provided that the processing is carried out by means of automated procedures and is based on a consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) or Article 9(2)(a) or on a contract in accordance with Article 6(1)(b).
g.) revocation
In accordance with Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR, you have the right to revoke the consent you have given to us at any time. The revocation of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out based on the consent until revocation. We may no longer continue the data processing that was based on your revoked consent.
h.) Complaint
Under Art. 77 GDPR, you have the right to complain to a supervisory body if you believe that the processing of your personal data violates the GDPR.
i.) Objection
If your personal data is being processed based on legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR, if there are reasons for doing so that arise from your particular situation or if the objection is directed against direct advertising. In the latter case, you have a general right of objection, which will be implemented by us without indication of a special situation. If you wish to exercise your right of revocation or objection simply send an e-mail to welcome@schaeffertec.de.
j.) Automated individual case decision including profiling
You have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, which has legal effect on you, or which significantly affects you in a similar way. This shall not apply where the decision is necessary for the conclusion or performance of a contract between you and us, authorized by union law or the law of the Member States to which we are subjected to, and where such law contains adequate measures to safeguard your rights and freedoms and legitimate interests, or with your explicit consent.
Such decisions may not be based on special types of personal data in accordance with Art. 9 Para. 1 GDPR unless Art. 9 Para. 2 lit. a or g applies, and appropriate measures have been taken to protect the rights and freedoms and your legitimate interests.
With regard to the cases referred to in a) and c) above, we shall take appropriate measures to safeguard your rights and freedoms and your legitimate interests, which shall include at least the right to obtain the interference of a person from our side, to present your point of view and to contest the decision.

 

13. Translations of the privacy policy

The German version of these data protection provisions is legally binding. Any translation or other language version of the data protection provisions will be provided for ease of use. In the event of a contradiction between the German version and a translation or other language version of these data protection provisions, the German version shall prevail.

14. Modification of the privacy policy

Should we change the privacy policy, this will be indicated on the homepage and registered customers will be informed by email.
